National HERstory



Delta Psi Epsilon Christian Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 16, 1999 by Sorors Carla Griffith, Vila-Sheree Watson and Nicole Gardner. Carla, Vila-Sheree and Nicole met each other as a result of being part of a local, Christian club at Oakwood University. This sorority was formed to give women an opportunity to become part of a Greek-lettered organization, but at the same time hold fast to their Christian values. Many strides were taken through the years to further cement and solidify the organization before becoming national.  In 2000, Delta Psi Epsilon Christian Sorority became incorporated. February 2004, the sorority took in its first members. These 7 women are known as the Seven Heavenly Virtues. These are Sonya Archie, Cheryl Plaster-Vinson, Rayquisha Timmons, LaTonya Sparks, Maritza Barnes, Mary Watson and Griena Knight.

Chapter HERstory

The West Palm Beach City-Wide Colony was established in May of 2010 by Tiffany Marshall after graduating from Bethune-Cookman University and relocating to the Palm Beach County area.  Tiffany worked tirelessly for a year fulfilling the purpose and mission of Delta Psi Epsilon Christian Sorority, Inc.   On July 1, 2011, the West Palm Beach City-Wide Colony inducted it's first initiates known as "Soles 4 Christ" which consisted of Rosalyn Moore and Tracey Seabrook.  December 2, 2011, The West Palm Colony initiated it's second line, "Melodies from Heaven", which include Sorors Ursula Avilus and Tara Brihm-Knox. In September of 2012, the West Palm Beach and Miami City-Wide Colonies merged to form the South Florida Metropolitan Colony, thus adding Miami's first initiates "Fireproof" to the colony roster.  Fireproof was inducted into Delta Psi Epsilon on July 9, 2011, exactly one week after "Soles 4 Christ".  Miami's first line consisted of Myrlande Regis, Monica Love, Lydie Regis, and Ruth Regis.  Members of the South Florida Metropolitan Colony traveled to the Southern Regional Conference in Atlanta, Ga., on October 26, 2012, and received their charter.  And  the legacy of the Incredible, Intelligent, Inspirational, Intercessing Iota Omega Chapter of Delta Psi Epsilon Christian Sorority, INCORPORATED began!  Charter Members (pictured right l-r) include:  Ursula Avilus, Tiffany Marshall, Tracey Seabrook, Lydie Regis, Myrlande Regis, Monica Love, and Tara Brihm-Knox (not pictured).
